Rooted in Prespa’s Heart
Founded in 2022 in the picturesque village of Arvati, Alesto Winery is the first boutique winery in the Prespa region – a place long celebrated for its apple orchards but once rich in vineyards.
Brothers Aleksandar and Stojanče Dimovski revived this forgotten tradition, creating wines that embody both the heritage of our land and the innovation of the modern winemaking world.
We craft our wines with a philosophy of minimal intervention, allowing the terroir to speak for itself. Every bottle is a testament to our passion, persistence, and dedication to quality.
1860 – The first vineyards flourish in Prespa’s fertile valleys, laying the foundation for a rich wine tradition.
1980 – The region sees a shift towards apple orchards, and many vineyards disappear.
2022 – Alesto Winery is born, restoring Prespa’s winemaking heritage and introducing it to the world.
The Terroir
Our vineyards grow on sandy and red clay soils, enriched by the double reflection of the sun from Lake Prespa and surrounded by the national parks of Pelister and Galicica. Constant gentle winds naturally protect the vines, while the diverse flora contributes subtle herbal notes to our wines.
